Stream Restoration

Stream restorations are project with potentially, far reaching implications so we work in concert with county soil and water districts, municipalities, engineers and home owners to ensure each project goes as smoothly as possible.

Some of our notable stream restoration projects include.

• Chest Bowl Dam Removal – After removal of two failed stone and concrete dams we reconstructed the channel, improving fish passage and habitat through the park. We also installed two concrete abutments for a pedestrian bridge.
• French River Fish Passage – Working at the head of the French River we replaced a worn out and undersized culvert with a new snowmobile bridge. Our scope of work included the excavation, bridge abutments, bridge installation, and stream restoration.
• Sargent Creek – We restored almost a mile of stream channel following the devastating floods of 2012, creating fish habitat while reducing erosion.
